Reigning champions APR Fc resumed their hunt for this year’s Azam Rwanda Premier League title by registering a slim 1-0 win over hosts Amagaju in a match day 27 fixture played on Wednesday in Nyamagabe, Southern Province.

Striker Issa Bigirimana scored the lone goal of the game to maintain Coach Nizar Khanfir’s side at the top of the league standings with 61 points.

In other matches played on Wednesday, Police drew 2-2 away to Musanze in Nyakinama while Espoir Fc edged relegation-threatened side Rwamagana City Fc 2-1 at Ferwafa turf.

On Tuesday, Bugesera Fc walloped Gicumbi Fc 3-0 in Nyamata, AS Kigali emerged victors over Etincelles after a 3-2 win at Stade de Kigali while AS Muhanga and Sunrise Fc played a 1-all draw at Stade Muhanga.

Marines vs Mukura and Rayon Sports vs SC Kiyovu fixtures of match day 27 were postponed to July 7 and 10 respectively owing to the fact that both Marines Fc and Rayon Sports have players on the national U20 team which is playing Egypt on Friday in the Second Round Return Leg.
