French coach Herve Renard figures on the final three-man shortlist of candidates for the Ivory Coast national team vacant job.
The list was released by the Ivorian FA during the weekend and the successful candidate will be announced by end of the month, according to the body.
Renard, who led the Chipolopolo of Zambia to win the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, is facing competition from fellow countryman Frederic Antonetti, who formerly managed Rennes, and former Sporting and Benfica coach Jose Manuel De Jesus from Portugal.
The three men will undergo interviews with the FA technical committee before a final decision.
An initial list of five coaches was filtered out of 37 candidates who applied for the job.
Former Ivory Coast coach Francais Zahoui also applied for the post but was dropped before the second round of screening.
The Ivorian FA says it wants to recruit a new coach before the start of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers early September.
