Former Egyptian international Mohamed Abu Trika will start new career as television pundit for Bein Sports channel.
Abu Trika announced his retirement after the end of the FIFA Club World Cup last December in Morocco.
Trika who refused to take up a job at Al Ahly accepted offer from the Qatari channel to analyze World Cup matches.
Super sport has been informed that the group channels first offered Trika the job a few months ago but he refused. They resumed talks and convinced him to accept the offer.
Trika announced before that his dream is to play in the World Cup but that didn’t happen after Egypt lost their ticket for Ghana Black stars last November.
“I dreamt to play there, but that will not happen,” Trika said earlier.
The 35 year old player is set to start studying administration to prepare him to take up a position at Al Ahly.
