THREE sports personalities have expressed their desire to via for the vacant Chief Executive Officer of Rwanda Football Federation after the February 28 deadline set for submission of applications.
The trio include Rayon Sports Secretary General Olivier Gakwaya, Mukura Secretary General Olivier Mulindahabi and former Basketball Federation Marketeer Innocent Karuhije.
Confirming the development, Ferwafa president Vincent Degaule Nzamwita said that only three candidates submitted their applications for the post by Friday, February 28.
“We are going to review their applications and the potential candidate fit for the position will be known on Monday after the examination by the adhoc committee,”
“The new Ferwafa CEO will then be announced on Tuesday after the Executive Committee meeting,” added Nzamwita.
Last month, Ferwafa terminated the contract of Michel Gasingwa after a three-year reign at the helm of the federation.
Gasingwa has been holding the role since 2011 when he replaced Jules Kalisa who resigned after an 8-year reign.
The new Secretary General will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Ferwafa, including the overall management of all staff and will be accountable to Ferwafa activities.
