Hugo Lloris and Oliver Giroud
Arsenal striker Oliver Giroud has claimed that Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris would ‘quite like to’ join the Gunners.
The French striker revealed that he has tried to persuade his international team-mate to join him across North London and that along with Laurent Koscielny, the pair have made some progress.
“We go out together and talk about everything. We talk about life and sometimes the French team a bit and our wish to have a great experience together at the World Cup,” he told French television.
“Have I asked him to join Arsenal? Yes, I have with Lolo (Koscielny). He would have liked to, he would quite like to. You will have to ask him the question.”
Lloris was signed by Tottenham for £8m from Lyon in the summer of 2012 and is under contract at White Hart Lane until 2016.
Goalkeeper has been traditional problem position for Arsenal in recent years but Wojciech Szczesny has earned praise for his performances this campaign.
