The 2013/14 Turbo King Football League will resume on January 18 according to Rwanda Football Federation.
Five matches will be played on Jan 18 with Esperance hosting Police at Mumena; Mukura hosting Muhanga in Muhanga; Espoir hosts Etincelles in Rusizi; AS Kigali plays away to Amagaju in Nyamagabe while Marines will host APR at Umuganda stadium.
Two matches; Gicumbi against Rayon Sport and SC Kiyovu against Musanze will be played at Gicumbi turf and Stade de Kigali respectively.
The second leg will climax on May 31.
APR returned to the top of the league table with 30 points, two ahead of the archrivals and reigning champions Rayon Sports, following a 2-1 win against Kiyovu Sports Club on Saturday.
The Peace Cup holders AS Kigali are in third in the league, two points adrift of second-placed Rayon.
The relatively modest City of Kigali side will face Burundi’s Academia Tchite in the two-legged qualifying round of the 2014 CAF Confederation.
The two sides will square off in the first leg on the weekend of February 8- 9 in Kigali and then in Bujumbura a week later.
AS Kigali, who will be featuring in the competition for the second time having made their debut in 2001, are one of the few local teams that are exclusively composed of Rwandan players – along with APR and Police FC.
Last season, they finished in sixth position with 36 points.
