TP Mazembe defender Hichani Himonde will miss Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup final first leg away tie to CS Sfaxien due to injury.
The Zambia defender who travelled with the DR Congo side earlier this week to Tunisia ahead of the match to be played in Rades on Saturday evening has failed to recover from an ankle injury he sustained earlier this month.
Himonde’s injury also saw him sit-out Zambia’s 2-0 away loss to Egypt in a friendly in Cairo on November 14.
However, his compatriots defender Stopilla Sunzu, midfielder’s Rainford Kalaba and Nathan Sinkala including striker Given Singuluma are all available for selection for Saturday’s game in Rades.
Meanwhile, Zambia’s other stars also return to league action for their respective clubs this weekend after featuring in last week’s friendly in Cairo.
In France, striker Emmanuel Mayuka will be in Sochaux’s first team ahead of their home game against Bastia on Saturday.
And in the same night in Belgium, KAA Gent striker Rodgers Kola will be hoping to make the team to face Waasland-Beveren.
On Sunday in Russia, Chisamba Lungu will be in action with Ural in their home game against Krylya Sovetov.
