Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has been boosted by the arrival of Tanzania-based striker Hamis Kiiza as he assembled his 28 charges for the 2013 Cecafa Cup slated for November 27 to December 12 in Kenya.
Tanzania based striker Hamis Diego Kizza and Khalid Awucho from Tusker FC were drafted into the squad as Micho looks to patch up loopholes in the Uganda team that was held 0-0 by Rwanda in Kampala last weekend who they open up against first in Machokos.
Captain Emma Okwi, Richard Kassaga, Julius Ntambi, Godfrey Walusimb , Ayubu Kisalita, Said Kyeyune and Oscar Agaba were among the faces at Lugogo.
Uganda Cranes who have won the regional trophy a record 13 times will be all out to try and defend the title.
Last year, the Cranes beat Harambee Stars of Kenya 2-1 in the final played in Kampala. And Micho is expected to name his final 20-man team on Saturday 23rd November at Lugogo.
