A joint delegation of Fifa and Caf wrapped up a week’s visit to the West African nation on Friday and announced the good tidings at a press conference.
Part of the funds will be used to consolidate the progress made so far in the organisation of the domestic Division 1 and 2 leagues, said Cyril Loisel, head of development programs at Fifa.
The Fifa and Caf delegation also discussed with local officials the setting up of women’s
championship, the creation of a national technical direction and the implementation of strategies to promote an adequate process for the management of a modern football.
Togo domestic leagues were suspended for more than a year following internal crises at the football federation. However, since the return of normalcy last year, clubs have been participating in local and continental competitions.
