After hosting the national league and playoffs final, Rwanda Basketball Federation is eager to organise more competitions in bid to popularise the sport in the country.

The development was confirmed by Rwanda basketball federation Secretary General Richard Mutabazi who said that more quality competitions will help in raising the level of competitiveness of the players thus have a solid national team in future.

Some of the competitions lined up include the annual ‘Never Again’ tournament which will be organised to commemorate the basketball players, coaches, officials and fans, who perished during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsis though dates have not been harmonised.
