Trabesi basks after his Eagles win
Tunisia’s head coach Sami Trabelsi said that his team deserved the win against Algeria in their first match in Group D at Afcon.
The Fennec Foxes were downed by the Carthage Eagles 0-1 after a goal by Youssef M’Sakni.
”We deserved to win , and while Algeria also played well in a derby like this you must not play to lose and thats what we did.” Sami said after the match.
” I spoke with my players and pleaded for them to be patient and that our experience will help us to win it. Even after the injury to Essam Jemaa we remained composed and that saw us through.” he added.
“ But now we have to forget the match and start to think about our clash against Togo which they lost their first match. I envision them struggling against us as we know if we win we will be in the second stage”.
The Carthage Eagles will play their next match against Togo on January 30 at the Mbombela Stadium.
