Angola vs. Rwanda
Rwanda’s Amavubi team leaves this Friday for Saturday’s friendly match against Angola due in Luanda.
According to head coach Milutin Sredojovic Micho, the team will depart aboard a charter flight.
The team which trained once on Thursday is made up of 18 players and eight officials.
Tanzania-based Haruna Niyonzima who plies his trade with Young Africans is the only professional player named on the squad which is comprised of only local-based players.
In their first game, Angola was held to a 1-all draw against Gambia in Benguela Province’s Ombaka Stadium, although it was not the result expected by the team for this first friendly match, ahead of the squad’s participation in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Palancas Negras beat Cameroon 1-0 in a second friendly match this Wednesday.
Angola is using the friendly matches to enhance their preparations for next year’s African Cup of Nations due to be held in South Africa.
Angola is in group A of the CAN 2013 together with South Africa, Cape Verde and Morocco.
