THE national football league returns today with leaders SC Kiyovu aiming to keep up the pace atop the log.
Jean Baptista Kayiranga’s Kiyovu has accrued maximum points from their opening three fixtures and will look to adding three more especially knowing that APR and Musanze are breathing hard right behind them.
Kayiranga will be deprived of Faustin Habyarimana and Julius Bakkabulindi who will be rested with injuries while Djabir Mutarambirwa will be available after recovering from a slight knock on his ankle.
“Our main focus is to continue playing good football. We have done it in our first three games and we expect a tough game against La Jeunesse but the boys are ready to go,” added Kayiranga.
La Jeunesse have registered five points and stand seventh on the league standings.
League champions APR will hope to win their fourth game when they visit Musanze at Musanze stadium. Both APR and Musanze are joint on 7 points and a win for either side will earn them a chance to keep pressure on the old giants.
Police currently lie sixth with five points from three games while Mukura are ninth with four points.
Hamiss Sogonya Kishi’s Espoir, on fifth position with six points will hope for more maximum points against Muhanga in Rusizi.
In Rubavu, six-time league champion Rayon Sports who are yet to taste victory with three matches played this season will take on Marines who are also pointless.
The other match will pit Amagaju against Etincelles in Nyamagabe.
