Rwanda vs. Namibia
THE national under-20 side is expected to make changes in Saturday’s second leg clash against Rwanda in bid to qualify to the next round.
Rwanda hosts Namibia in the second leg of the preliminary round qualifier for the 18th African Youth Championship due at Amahoro stadium.
The Namibian side lost 2-0 at home a fortnight ago and will have it all to do when they play junior wasps who are set to be enjoying home-ground advantage.
Head coach Ricardo Mannetti said mid this week that his team will have a different approach to the game as the stakes will be much higher.
“We made it difficult for ourselves at home losing 2-0 and we want to make sure we get something out of the fixture.
“Rwanda is at home and playing to entertain and maybe gets more goals but we have to ensure that they don’t get comfortable on the ball by pressurising them early on”, Mannetti said.
“The team remains the same from the first leg but due to the tactics we need to use in that match we will make changes to the starting eleven which I cannot reveal now but can be seen and explained during the match in Rwanda”, noted Mannetti.
The Saturday’s game will be handled by Ethiopian officials, they include; Bamlak Tessema (centre referee) who will be assisted by Mussie Kindi, Belachew Gizaw with Bezezewe Balete Haile as the fourth official. Gabon’s Jean Didier Nziengu will be the match commissioner.
