Rwanda’s Nathan Byukusenge finished 58th in the final general classification the just concluded Tour du Maroc on Sunday and that is the best position Rwanda obtained from the race. Rwanda’s performance at the event was less than impressive to say the least, with the country’s participants lying in mid section of the general classification throughout the stages. During stage nine, it was Nathan’s compatriot Nicodem Habiyambere who finished at 55, a result that is a déjà vu for him.
Meanwhile South Africa’s Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg emerged the overall winner of the tour despite finishing third at stage 10 of the tour on Sunday. Rensburg finished ahead of Adil Jelloul of Morocco and Bulgaria’s Gabrovski Ivailo to win the race he had dominated throughout, having won four of the ten stages of the tour.
