Nicodem HABIYAMBERE finished 59th on Wednesday in stage 6 of the ongoing Tour du Maroc in Morocco. Habiyambere finished ahead of his compatriot Nathan Byukusenge who finished 73rd but the latter occupies the 50th slot in the general standings. Nicodem’s performances have been inconsistent, having started in the early stages so strongly, finishing 11th and 5th in stage 1 and stage 2 respectively. His worst performance came on day three when he finished 78th, a result that has left him languishing at 89th in general classification.

South Africa’s Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg (in yellow) has won three stages of Tour du Maroc

Meanwhile Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg of South Africa continued to impress when he won his third stage of the tour and continued to occupy the first position in general classification after stage 6. Wednesday’s race saw the cyclists cover a total distance of 137 km, from Errachidia to Tinghir. The tour continues today Thursday when they will cycle from Tinghir – Ouarzazate, a distance of 170 km.
