EGBC to train Young Goalkeepers
A football academy that is based in France (Ecole des Gardiens de cadenet) will soon start training young goalkeepers who are normally trained at (Irebero Goalkeepers’ Training Center) which was instituted by the former coach of Amavubi ; Higiro Thomas.
Irebero Goalkeepers’ Training Center, was instituted without enough funds but it has currently got a sponsor who has already negotieted with the school that train children to be good goalkeepers and results are positive.
Thomas Higiro, the director of the school and also the coach ; ‘EGBC has accepted to train the school trainers whereby we will be supported for workshop in europe so that we come back to support those who have not got a chance yabemereye kuzajya iha amahugurwa abatoza b’abo bana, bakajya kwigira mu Bufaransa ubumenyi bazasangira n’abazaba batabashije kubona amahirwe yo kujya kwigira i Burayi.
It is not the first time for EGBC to support African football teams among which is congo Kinshasa. The Irebero Goalkeepers Training Center that use Nyamirambo stadium in Kigali, has 68 trainees among whom are three girls.
